The mission of DREAM is to increase the acceptance and understanding of individuals with Down syndrome in Montana through support, education, and advocacy.

Our Goals

We want to ensure that all people with Down syndrome have happy and productive lives and are fully included in the community. In support of our Mission Statement, our goals include:

Providing support and information for families having a child with Down syndrome.

Providing funding for medical expenses for individuals with Down syndrome.

Promoting awareness, understanding, and acceptance of individuals with Down syndrome in the community.

Supporting continuing education and recreational opportunities for individuals with Down syndrome.

Providing medical and therapeutic equipment for individuals with Down syndrome.

Promoting research to enhance the quality of life for individuals with Down syndrome.

Grants

As parents of children with Down syndrome, we know there are additional expenses for our families. DREAM has a grant program to help Montana families pay for medical expenses, early intervention therapies, tutors, adaptive equipment, and adult continuing education. The DREAM board reviews grant requests quarterly to financially support local families.
